Bikes, Bikes, Bikes

HDR HDR!!! I kind of got into a HDR craze when I was in Lima, OH for the Flat Track Nationals this past weekend. There are quite a phew photos that are of just bikes in the parking lot all HDRd. I was in heaven!! Check em out!!

These however are of the races! It was Chris Carr's last year of racing. He is #4 he is a legend in the sport. These aren't bad given the fact that I didn't have press pass access to the action and that I was shooting at STUPID high ISOs. I was happy given the circumstances.

This is a Kawisaki ER6-N. N stands for Naked Bike. I love naked "Street Fighter " style bikes. They have such a raw, aggressiveness to them, that you don't get on other sport bikes. Very edgy. I want one so bad!!

This one was not HDR I just love this bike! M109R!!

please give me some feed back.

Now I know its been forever since I have posted on here! I am sorry my attention span is very short and updating this isn't the quickest thing in the world. But never the less I am updating it now! Now I know its been forever since I have posted on here! I am sorry my attention span is very short and updating this isn't the quickest thing in the world. But never the less I am updating it now!
These shots were from a Skateboarding/Biking Demo with the local skate park team at Grand Rapids Elementary School. They are really a great group of guys. The goal is to get the word out about the skate park and give the kids a positive outlet for them in the skating and biking world. There is a lot going on with this group and I am so excited to be a part of it. I can assure there will be way more to come in the future! So stay tuned for more from this group!

This is Don the Marlin Brando of the group, he is the head of this organization. He is a great guy and really wants to help the other guys in the group and get this project up and running. Very excited to work with him on several future projects!

Ian is one of the tech brains behind this operation. I have a good feeling that me and him could work very well together in the future.

ECC parking lot

This was a random night back in the day after work at the ECC. It was such an erie night that I couldn't pass up the photo opp! They are very noisy photos (lots of grain) but I feel it helps with the effect I was lookin for. Its different. Let me know what you think.

This one totally looks like an album cover!

Midterm from Photo123

I had a really good time with this one. It was really challenging to come up with 25 photos....did I mention they all had to be based on eggs....yeah not easy but it was a good challenge. These were my favorites.

Night Hawks

This is the very famous American painting called Night Hawks by the great artist Hopper.
In my History of Art class last semester for our final project we were to make a work of art in our medium of study (ie. Photography) that is inspired by/ a tribute to a famous work of Art. So I chose Night Hawks. I love this painting because it shows a very dark, lifeless city in the late hours of the night. And how it is a beacon of light to the wanderer of the night. It is like they all have a common bond of loneliness. And I really just love the whole concept of the beacon of light that people are drawn to. I don't know its something about it...

The only real light for miles....
